Dr.Timothy Schwab is a Montgomery County native. He attended the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Veterinary Medicine receiving his degree in 2007. He was accepted into a one-year rotating internship in medicine and surgery at Florida Veterinary Specialists in Tampa, Fl. In 2008, Dr. Schwab became Metropolitan’s first surgical resident. We are very excited that he has agreed to stay on as a staff surgeon, to continue offering excellent surgical skill and knowledge to your patients.
Dr. Schwab’s professional interests include advanced orthopedic procedures, total hip replacements, neurosurgery, and all aspect of soft-tissue surgery. He has a particular interest in arthroscopy and has been involved in the development of Metropolitan’s arthroscopy service that is current offering minimally invasive treatment of many common orthopedic conditions.
In order to better serve our clientele, Dr. Schwab will have consultation hours during the evening and on Saturdays. This will expand Metropolitan’s surgery service appointments to a Monday through Saturday schedule, including evenings. He is a welcome addition to the specialty services currently offered at Metropolitan and we look forward to having him on our team.
