Dr. Takeuchi is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania in 2006 and finished a rotating Small Animal Surgery and Medicine Internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital. She finished her undergraduate degree at Mount Holyoke College in 2002 where she double majored in politics and biology. Although born in Trinidad and Tobago, Dr. Takeuchi is originally from Japan. She spent time in the US, Indonesia, and Singapore in her childhood. Her hobbies include horseback riding, travel, and enjoying good food! Her medical interests lay in emergency and critical care including coagulation disorders, sepsis, and surgical emergencies. She also loves spending time with her three cats Rex, Mika, Lailee as well as her puppy Bovie.
