Metropolitan Veterinary Associates is a veterinary group established in 1986 to provide referral veterinary services for small animals. In coordination with the Metropolitan Emergency Service, around the clock care can be offered for pet animals with a variety of conditions.
More about
Our Specialties
As time went on, it became apparent that Metropolitan Veterinary Associates needed a facility to accommodate its rapidly growing services. In order to maintain a high level of patient care, MVA moved into a newly renovated 18,000 square foot facility with state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic equipment in 2006.

Virtual Tour
While routine services such as vaccination and neutering are not offered by Metropolitan Veterinary Associates, the veterinarians and staff members of the hospital are prepared to accept referrals for patients in the following services: behavior services, cardiology, dentistry, dermatology, internal medicine, neurology, ophthalmology, radiology, and surgery. Patients are seen by appointment only and may be hospitalized for additional diagnostic pursuit or treatment if the need arises.
The Metropolitan Emergency Service is open every day of the year, 24 hours a day, seven days a week providing a wide range of emergency medical and surgical services, and to provide complete after hours care for sick and injured pets (dogs, cats, and occasional exotic pets). Our professional team consists of experienced clinicians and an excellently trained nursing staff. During our hours of operation, there will always be veterinarians specifically trained for managing veterinary emergencies.

More about
Our Doctors
An experienced, compassionate and dedicated team of Certified Veterinary Technicians (CVTs) and Assistants play an integral role in supporting MVA specialists and emergency veterinarians. The staff consists of highly trained professionals who offer quality medical management in a caring environment. These on-site personnel provide continual care and supervision for hospitalized patients.
Our CVTs, or Veterinary Nurses, have an average of seven years' experience and either a two- or four-year college degree from an AVMA approved program of Veterinary Technology. In addition to practicing their skills daily, MVA technicians sharpen their abilities and knowledge by attending continuing education and seminars on a regular basis.
Assistants provide compassionate, quality care on a day-to-day basis. Their responsibilities include bathing, feeding and exercising the patients as well as assisting the doctors and nurses in procedures.
